The documents on this page are independent interpretations of PRLs that
Western Wireless users may encounter. While we make every reasonable effort to ensure
the accuracy of these interpretations, we cannot guarantee that the information

opposed to the private databases used by wireless carriers), which at times we
have found to be inaccurate and/or incomplete.
Interpretations
NOTE ALLTEL has acquired Western Wireless. New lines of service
and handset upgrades come preloaded with ALLTEL PRLs, and ALLTEL is
pushing PRL upgrades to former Western Wireless customers (dial *228 to
get the new PRL). For most users, this represents a coverage
enhancement.
